Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is derived from algae (Schizochytrium sp.) gently grown in closed aquaculture to minimize the risk of contamination with heavy metals and other contaminants. DHA represents a structural fatty acid found in the human brain, skin and retina. DHA is essential to ensure normal development of the nervous system and supports proper brain function, cognitive function, memory and vision.
The daily dose (DD) corresponds to 2 pumps.
Dosage according to the age of the child:
Children 1-8y approx. 250 mg DHA (1x DD).
Children 8-14y - 250-500 mg DHA (up to 2x DD).
Children 14y+ - 500-750 mg DHA (up to 3x DD).
