Algae are a diverse group of aquatic plants, a source used in foods globally for decades. Tests have shown that Vitamin D3 contained in this plant is chemically identical to cholecalciferol obtained from animal origin, what makes it the perfect bioavailable source, suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Our non-GMO algae source is grown in controlled conditions, with no pesticides used.

Why is it so important the form of vitamin D3 we supplement?

There are two forms of vitamin D differ depending on their food sources. Vitamin D3 is found in small amounts in animal-sourced foods and is also synthesized under the skin after sufficient sun exposure. Vitamin D2 mainly comes from plant sources. Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is approximately 87% more potent than D2 form.
